Actor Vijay Sethupathi won the best actor award for Super Deluxe recently in Australia in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

Earlier, Bollywood star Aamir Khan visited the sets of Sethupathi’s Tamil film Sanga Tamizhan directed by Vijay Chander at Pollachi. Ever since the sources report the duo joining a project.

Now, the actor himself has confirmed that they will be collaborating on-screen in an upcoming project, details of which will be made public soon. “We are in talks and details will be announced soon,” Vijay told in an interview. The film will mark Vijay Sethupathi’s debut in Hindi film industry.

Aamir Khan and Vijay Sethupathi already have one connection, where Aamir will portray Vijay’s character of Vedha in the Hindi remake of Tamil neo-noir thriller Vikram Vedha. Previously, actor Shah Rukh Khan was rumored to play Sethupathi’s role, with Madhavan reprising his role from the 2017 Tamil movie. While the reports are confirming, the filmmakers roped in Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan for the project.

Aamir Khan is currently working on the remake of Hollywood classic Forrest Gump in Hindi titled Lal Singh Chaddha. He was last seen on screen in the 2018 movie Thugs of Hindostan.

On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi is awaiting the release of Sanga Tamizhan. He is currently busy shooting for SP Jananathan’s Laabam with Shruti Haasan. He will also be seen playing the lead role in Kadaisi Vyavasaayi, directed by Kakkamuttai fame Manikandan.

The actor recently announced that he will be playing the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muthiah Muralitharan in his biopic. To be directed by Sripathi Rangaswamy, the biopic will be co-produced by Rana Daggubati and will go on shooting floors soon. However, recent reports suggest that Sethupathi may be opted out of the biopic after protests by Pro-Tamil activists. But the actor confirmed that he will portray the legendary spinner and the film will be accepted by everyone.
