Viswasam Thala Ajith
Viswasam

You might have come across the huge crowd celebrating while you were out. Wonder not, it is Thala movie release this pongal. More than a year, Ajith fans have been waiting since Vivegam. It’s now time for them to celebrate!

Ajith and Shiva have joined for the fourth time. So, how did the ‘V’ formula worked for them this time? Let’s check it out!

The storyline revolves around the life of a man who is a villager and the most respected person among the people and the relatives around him, his way of living and his family . Ajith as ThookuDurai justifies his role by changing his mannerisms and perfectly adopted the slang which is talked in the rural areas. Nayanthara, our lady super star has done her part as Niranjana with ease, let it be showing love or shouting in anger, she stands tall as ThookuDurai’s lady love.

The first half of the movie gives us the handsome and young Thala. He looks gorgeous in his looks and Dhoti has been a thing for him. It is purely entertaining and involving to watch Thala and co-stars Robo Shankar, Yogi Babu and Thambi Ramaiah combination has been a success and emotes laughter and fun. The chemistry between Thala and Nayanthara is a pleasure to watch. The visuals look colorful and purely rural and captures all the details of a village in it’s charmness. Thanks to the cinematographer Vetri for giving us such a colorful movie. D.Imman‘s music numbers like ‘VettiKattu’ and ‘Thalley Thillaley’ make fans dance and the BGM he scored for Thala brings up goosebumps in addition to his screen presence. There are no dull moments in the first half and the story unfolds and catches up during the interval with fans cheering up for Thala.

In second half, along with the story, the location too gets changed to Mumbai. The usual Hero-Villain scenes come into play along with the family sentiment between Father-Daughter, mostly. We have actor Vivek and he brings up fun but the role didn’t do enough justification for the movie. The  usual screenplay and very ordinary story makes Viswasam less engaging during the later half. ‘Adichu Thooku’ makes people dance and cheers up the audience. The stunts are normal and doesn’t create enough swag for Thala and that’s the minus this movie has, till the end!

The child actress Baby Anikha from Yennai Arindhal fits in her role as an athlete and as a daughter of Niranjana rather than ThookuDurai. The antagonist Jagapathi Babu plays usual villainy stuff and doesn’t have much scope to do justice for his character.

So, overall Thala Ajith put up a one man show even when it comes to fun or being angry or being emotional as a father and a husband. To summarize, Ajith lives as ThookuDurai and proven his acting potential yet again.

The movie though gives us the usual stuff, it is surely worth watching with family. And this time it’s definitely is  Thalapongal!
